The
Association offers a training and certification program for three types of
commercial event professionals: Certified
Event Manager, (CEM) A
Commercial Event Manager is an event specialist who manages conferences
and meeting events. They handle the business side of the event, such as
selecting the hotel, negotiating agreements and establishing the rules and
regulations for participation. Additionally, they monitor the performance
of an event and make sure the host and sponsors are conducting the event
according to the terms and conditions of the agreements they sign. They
work closely with the commercial event coordinators and marketers.
Commercial Event Managers are pre-approved to own a Commercial Event
Planning Agency or other Event Management Franchises.
Virtual
Event Coordinator, (VEC) A
Virtual Event Coordinator is a certified commercial event specialists
who coordinates special online event activities. They supervise servicescompanies and individuals who provide the products and services that makes
the affair possible. Additionally, they oversee the assembly of booths, tables, chairs,
invitations, entertainment, catering services, guest speakers etc., plus they
make sure that the event they are assigned runs smoothly. Commercial
Event Marketer, (CEM) The
Commercial Event Marketer is a commercial event specialist who provides
sales, marketing and promotional services to conferences, meetings, trade
shows, exhibits, seminars, private workshops. The training and
certification programs offered for Commercial Event Marketers. These enroll individuals
have a background in sales and marketing. |
